Helix renovated the abandoned Exide Battery Depot for the home of its new offices. In an adaptive reuse of this historic structure, we transformed its two-story interior space into a design laboratory dedicated to community use, flexibility, collaboration and the human element. The Helix office was designed for its employees to interact and innovate together. Fifty percent of the building is used as community gathering space. The central atrium space serves for scheduled and unscheduled discussions, idea generation and social gatherings. Project designed while principal at Helix.
